Green Global Travel has named Ghana as one of the top travel destinations for 2016. Green Global is an ecotourism, nature/wildlife conservation and cultural preservation magazine, based on the recommendations of a group of 35 experienced and well-travelled bloggers from around the world.

“This year we decided to ask some of the well-travelled authorities we know – veteran bloggers who specialise in adventure travel, ecotourism, cultural travel and family travel – to get their expert opinions on the best destinations for nature-lovers to travel in 2016,” – Green Global Travel

Ghana was chosen for its unique offerings sighting places like the canopy walk in the rainforest of Kakum National Park, the hike on Mt. Afadjato- the highest mountain in Ghana and elephant spotting at the Mole National Park.

Bloggers also cited the rich culture of the Frafra people, known for weaving the world-famous Bolga baskets. The famous Elmina Castle along Cape Coast, the beautiful beaches and the vibrant cultural events.

We do hope that this recommendation among several others, contribute to an increase in tourism in Ghana.
