Esteemed Oil and Gas entrepreneur – Dr Kofi Amoa-Abban is set to receive the GUBA Young Oil and Gas Entrepreneur Award on Saturday the 3rd of June, 2017 at the Intercontinental Hotel, London. The award seeks to commend those who have excelled in entrepreneurship, recognising their talents in building and developing reputable businesses within their sectors.
Dr Amoa-Abban is the founder and CEO of Rigworld International Services, a leading oil services business with operations across West Africa. RigWorld has several wholly owned subsidiary businesses namely; Trans-Atlantic Services limited, Rigworld Training Center (Opito), Rigworld NDT & inspection, Burj construction, Rigworld Security Services, M2 Telematics, and The Kofi Abban Foundation, a charitable trust which provides funding and donations to churches, orphanages, and schools in deprived communities in Ghana.
In addition, Dr Amoa-Abban is a known philanthropist working to bring about impactful change in Ghana through his charity – The Kofi Abban Foundation. He was recently in recipient of an honorary doctorate from the Commonwealth University and the London Graduate School.
For his successful venture into the oil and gas industry and the Establishment of Rigworld International Services Ltd, Dr Amoa-Abban will be one of thirteen GUBA Black Star Award recipients to be honoured on the night for their commitment to excellence.
