Midday on Wednesday 21 March 2018 saw the much-anticipated digital release of the second-generation report on British-Ghanaians. Following a research exercise from July to November 2017 that included; 493 survey respondents, 25 focus group participants and 8 key informant interviews the results are in and the report can be read in full here.
The Report uncovered interesting trends around Identity, engagement and remittances. An overview of the key findings can be found here.
Through this research report, we’ve aimed to uncover the what, how and why of second-generation British-Ghanaians’ interaction with Ghana and their present contributions (remittance, skills and time) to its development.
The Forum…
On Wednesday 28 March 2018, our charity will host a Ghana Independence special forum event on identity, international development, migration and diaspora engagement.
Taking place at Regent’s University London, Tuke Hall, Inner Circle, Regent’s Park, London NW1 4NS between 18:00- 21:00 GMT the event, titled The Future of British Ghanaian Disapora Forum will attract over 350 young professionals, entrepreneurs, CEO’s, academics, law firms, consultants, Diaspora associations and Diaspora community leaders to address mutual challenges and share information on the impact of identity and development within Ghana.
Among speakers and panellists confirmed to attend are Lord Lord Dr (Michael) Hastings of Scarisbrick CBE: Global Head of Citizenship for KPMG International and Yvonne Haizel Venture Capital Investor at Mitsui & Co amongst others
The event will act as the official launch of the second-generation research report – outlining key information such as how much they remit financially, socially, and engage/seek to contribute with Ghana’s development.

The 2018 Publication….
Scheduled for release for April 2018 (Date TBC) via www.futureofghana.com .
