NOMINEES ANNOUNCED FOR THE GUBA AWARDS 2018

The nominees for the 2018 GUBA Awards was announced on Tuesday the 22nd of May 2018.  This list recognises the trailblazing individuals and companies who represent the very best of Ghanaian talent within the UK and Ghana.

The GUBA Awards is a non-profit organisation which donates proceeds towards charitable schemes operating within the Ghanaian community and provides an engaging platform for promoting greater cultural diversity in the UK as well as raising the profile of Ghana.

The winners will be announced after a public vote, during the awards ceremony at the InterContinental Hotel in Greenwich on Saturday 14th July. Endorsed by the President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the 2018 GUBA Awards will be the largest ever in the awards eight-year history.

Judges play a crucial role in the GUBA Awards, especially in the shortlisting of nominees for the awards. The shortlist ensures that nominated individuals fit the respective categories. The judges for the GUBA 2018 awards are: Kofi Addo – Minister Counsellor for Trade and Investment, Sonia Meggie- Founder of Inspirational You, CEO of Funky N Chunky, Samuel Boateng – Co-founder of ‘Build and Master, Musah Idriss – CEO of Next Innovation Africa, Founder of Rising Africa, Paul Akwaboah – Creative Director of Access Media, Lorraine Wright- Founder of University Gospel Choir of the Year and Richard Tandoh – Portfolio Associate at Global Innovation Fund.

Speaking on the nomination process, GUBA Judge Richard Tandoh adds
