The GUBA Awards will launch this Thursday at the Ghana High Commission which will see some of the best and brightest of the Ghanian community in attendance.

The latest celebrity to confirm his attendance is none other than Hugh Quarshie. The 57 year old better known for playing Ric Griffin in Holby City will grace the GUBA launch. Hugh has had a successful career which has seen him star in blockbuster films such as “Star Wars Episode 1: Phantom Menace”.

More recently Hugh has appeared on “Who Do You Think You Are?” Tracing his Ghanian heritage back to Accra the place of his birth.

The GUBA awards will take place on Sunday 6th October at Park Plaza Riverbank.
