The Ghana Music Awards Europe (GMAEU) is scheduled to take place on Saturday the 24th of November 2012, at the SYNC London Club(Formerly Stratford REX) in Stratford. The GMAEU is set to follow on the exceptional legacy of the Ghana Music Awards, with the core aim to “Establish International Recognition for Ghanaian music, musicians, and culture”.
The event will be hosted by the acclaimed Kwame Sefa Kayi of Peace FM and will showcase live performances from top musicians. Musicians present on the night will be: Abrantee Amakyi Dede, Daddy Lumba, Samini, Kwabena Kwabena, Sarkodie, Okyeame Kwame, R2Bees, Tiffany, Fuss, Tinchy Stryder, Mista Silva and Kwesi Pee. A selection of the UK’s finest DJs will also be in rotation, playing the best in Azonto, Hiplife, Hi-life, RnB, Funky House, and Soul Full Garage at the after party.
The award ceremony will be broadcasted live and is expected to attract a worldwide audience via the internet and TV stations including: Klear TV, BEN TV, Hi TV, Passion TV, and Channel U.
There will be 10 public voting categories and 3 honours awards presented on the night. This year’s ‘Life Time Achievement’ award will go to the internationally acclaimed musician Daniel Amakye Dede for his contribution in the advancement of hi-life music.

Tickets for the event cost a standard rate of £20 which includes an entry to the after party, taking place at the same venue. The show is scheduled to run from 9pm to 5am at Sync London Club (Former Stratford Rex) which is located at 361-375 Stratford High Street, London, E15 4QZ.
